Designing the digital platform for the StopCambo campaign

Uplift’s mission is to support and energise the movement for a just and fossil fuel-free UK. They connect organisations working to prevent the climate crisis and help to elevate ideas and voices by setting up networks and movements. When a new oil field was proposed by Shell off the coast of Scotland, they convened together a group of organisations including Oxfam, Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace under the banner ‘Stop Cambo’.

The Stop Cambo movement needed a website to quickly mobilise the public to take action against the government giving the final go ahead to the oil field. We were commissioned to plan, design and build a website in under 2 weeks. The site contains useful information on the project and most importantly, 6 key actions that people could take. The campaign was a success and the oil field was prevented, but with Rosebank oil field, and many others, on the table, the site is still very much in use.
